Mineral Lichens is a mid-sized biomorphic contemporary artwork that examines the intersection of geological structure and organic growth. The composition is centered on vivid yellow lichens that appear to colonize a rock surface shaped in a manner reminiscent of a carved cerebral form. This interplay between mineral solidity and biological expansion invites a reflection on resilience, adaptation, and the slow processes that shape both living and non-living systems.
A complementary green background enhances the chromatic intensity of the yellow lichens and provides a controlled spatial field against which the primary forms emerge with clarity. The work’s careful attention to texture, colour relationships, and morphological suggestion situates it within a broader exploration of micro-ecological environments and their capacity to evoke larger conceptual narratives.
